// PROFILE"Ama's Art Station" was initiated by founder Hsuan-Yi (Ah-Hsien). Most of the team members are local young people from Yilan who have been rooted in their hometown for many years. They continue to respond to the relationship between the land and life through music creation, arts and cultural activities and local companionship.
Since its inception, the team has been working together in Yilan for thirteen years, forming the "Yu A-ma Band." Through creation and performance, they express their feelings for their hometown, growing and living together in each other's company, making art not just a performance form, but a force connecting the place, the people, and everyday life. They have been invited to serve as "Smile Masters" at the Green Expo and have also participated in performances many times as dulcimer and bamboo instrument players, continuing to use music to engage in dialogue with the land.
Yu-A-Ma Art Center is dedicated to local companionship and sustainability, and has long been deeply involved in Jiaoxi and Yilan areas: revitalizing and reusing old houses, creating local stories, promoting local music education, and engaging and connecting young people in cultural activities. Using art as a medium, they aim to build an emotional connection between people and the land.
For Yu-A-Ma Art Station, sustainability is not just a concept, but a lifestyle that is close to the land, involves long-term investment, and provides genuine companionship. In the future, it also looks forward to continuing to use the power of music, creation, and local culture to become a sustainable partner with the Yilan Green Expo.
