The Yilan Green Expo announced its program "A Fantastic Journey Through the Land of Soil," which will be available for free to Yilan residents on the 27th.

The Yilan Green Expo will kick off on March 28th. The organizers today announced the daily scheduled play "The Fantastic Journey of the Soil Kingdom" to be performed on the main stage during the event. This is an eco-theatre produced by the local Yilan Shidong Productions Troupe, which focuses on "soil cultivation" and incorporates K-pop rhythms. It takes families on a fantastic adventure underground and helps them understand the importance of protecting the earth from yellow carbon.

Acting County Magistrate Lin Mao-sheng experienced the park's rides today and also announced that the Green Expo will have a "trial operation" the day before the official opening, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the 27th, allowing county residents to enter for free and have a sneak peek.

The Yilan Green Expo will be held from March 28 to May 10 in Wulaokeng Scenic Area, Su'ao, featuring 18 sustainability exhibition areas and 19 fun physical challenges. This year's most anticipated highlight is the stage play "The Fantastic Journey of the Soil Kingdom," which tells the story of a nature-loving boy named "Xiaoyou" who is surprised to discover during his journey that the seemingly ordinary soil beneath his feet has taken hundreds or even thousands of years to form through weathering, rain, and sun exposure.

More importantly, the drama emphasizes that soil is a living, breathing "skin of the earth," unlocking the millennia-old secrets of "yellow carbon" and the power to protect this land.

Founded in 2021, the "Shih-Tung Productions Theatre Troupe" was selected as an outstanding arts and cultural group in Yilan County. Director Shen Che-Hung's production blends music, dance, and drama, featuring a fast-paced rhythm and distinctive style. Combining entertainment with educational value, it is suitable for families. Performances will be held daily at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM on the main stage during the festival.

In addition, this year's dynamic games include a low-carbon family playground, a wood-based zero-electricity game area, and a stream-friendly water play area, featuring facilities such as 360° bicycles for families, a human gyroscope, a spinning swing, a low-altitude zipline, a rainbow bouncy cloud, and a long-legged spider swing. New additions include the Dream Web, the Tang Water Snake Swing, a roly-poly toy, and a space ring. Acting County Magistrate Lin Mao-sheng experienced the facilities today and exclaimed that they were thrilling and fun, well worth a visit to the Green Expo to fully enjoy this green ecological land.
